Features of implementation of legal representative's procedural status of a minor in criminal proceedings

Introduction: when analyzing the implementation of the preliminary investigation in modern Russian criminal proceedings, the authors consider actual problems of protecting the rights and legal interests of minors in criminal proceedings and also point out the implementation of the procedural status of a legal representative of a minor in criminal proceedings. The authors of the article pay particular attention to assessing the state of a minor involved in the sphere of criminal proceedings, who has become vulnerable because of the specific position, regardless of the procedural status. Materials and methods: The materials of the study are norms of the Russian legislation governing the list of issues related to the implementation of the procedural status of the minor’s legal representative in criminal proceedings, scientific publications of researchers, as well as materials of investigative practice on the given topic.
