The purpose of this article is to reconstruct the semantic-interpretation model of Diodorus of Tarsus, Theodore of Mopsuestia, and Blessed Theodoret of Cyrus on the basis of their interpretation of Psalms 21 and 71, as well as to assess, through comparative analysis, these models in the context of Church tradition. The author comes to the conclusion that the views of Diodorus and Theodore are unacceptable from the point of view of the New Testament and Church tradition and are untenable in terms of criticism of the text and contextual analysis. Blessed Theodoret, defending the traditional point of view, bases his position on a consistent contextual analysis, evidence of parallel places, and criticism of the text, which makes his conclusions objective
