Features of the representation of the concept of "time" in English

The article is devoted to the study of the metaphorization of the concept "time" in the English language. Temporal representations in the minds of speakers and their reflection in the English language picture of the world are considered. The concept of "time" is analyzed within the framework of the theory of conceptual metaphor, since metaphorical transfer is an effective means of verbalizing abstract entities.
