Peculiarities of the reproductive biology of some representatives of the genus Iris L

Data on the morphology of fruits and seeds of some species of the genus Iris is provided. Possible variants of dissemination are considered. Facts on the disposition of seeds of some Iris species to hydrochory are brought to the attention. The influence of stratification and processing with epin on the germination of Iris seeds is shown. Information on the index of seminification of Iris flowers in connection to their position in flower-bearer is given.
