Features of agricultural development of floodplain areas of the Kalaus river during the XVIII - XIX centuries

The article gives an overview of historical features of agricultural activity of the population of the Kalaus River valley territories. On the example of settlements of Grachevsky, Ipatovsky, Petrovsky and Apanasenkovsky districts of Stavropol Krai the main branches of agriculture characteristic for Stavropol Province in period of XVIII-XIX centuries are considered. Stat statistical data are given, which allow to judge the role of different branches in the life of settlements of the Kalaus River valley.
