The soil is a unique natural body that characterizes the fertility of the land. It consists of solid particles, soil water, air and living organisms. The soil is the object of study of many Sciences, each of which examines it from their positions. In agricultural mechanics, the soil must be considered as an object of machining. In agriculture, as in any other industry, it is impossible to create perfect tillage machines and tractors, to develop advanced agricultural machinery of various crops without systematic study of physical, mechanical and technological properties of the soil. The variety of soil properties creates certain difficulties in the study and testing of tillage tools, and therefore it is extremely important to know the main ones that are necessary both in assessing the results of the tool or machine, and in their theoretical generalization.
