Features of the socio-psychological state of military personnel in the process of transfer to the reserve

The aim of this article is to study the features of the socio-psychological state of military personnel discharged into the reserve. The paper considers the peculiarities of the process of dismissal of military personnel to the reserve, which are associated with certain structural transformations. The authors identify the key determinants of the socio-psychological state of individuals, including aspects of well-being, self-esteem and assessment of future prospects. On the base of a questionnaire survey, the paper identifies specific manifestations of the socio-psychological state of servicemen discharged into the reserve, related to the situation in which the representatives of the group in question found themselves. The obtained results reflects the manifestations of the emotional background of individuals, an assessment of their current situation, as well as assumptions about the future state. Based on the results of an empirical study, the authors form recommendations to support the socio-psychological state of servicemen discharged into the reserve, directed both to the power structures and to the servicemen themselves. The paper concludes that he process of discharging into the reserve has a significant impact on the socio-psychological state of military personnel. On the one hand, they may feel negative emotions, on the other hand, many people have a desire to engage in new activities and have stable employment.
