Features of the institution of representation of foreign citizens in the criminal proceedings of the Russian Federation

The article examines the content and subject composition of the institution of representation of foreign citizens in the criminal process of the Russian Federation. Attention is drawn to the features that distinguish this legal institution from related institutions of representation. The author’s concept of a representative of foreign citizens in domestic criminal proceedings is formulated. The problems of the current criminal procedure legislation of the Russian Federation are identified, and ways to solve them are proposed.
