In this article, the author solves the problem of studying the features of the modern market for additional education services for children. This aspect is especially important in the context of the modernization of the domestic educational system and the formation of an innovative education system that can ensure the competitiveness of graduates in modern economic conditions. In the course of the analysis, the author solved the following problems: conducted a study of the active development of the field of distance learning; considered Digital technologies and the demand for IT training; the development of individual areas of additional training is considered; the predominance of public educational institutions; active growth of the children's EdTech (online education) segment. The main conclusion of this article is the fact that at the moment there is still a monopoly of state educational institutions in this area, but there is still an opportunity for private businesses to become a sought-after market participant in this area. There are especially good prospects for the development of activities in the field of EdTech, provided that the latest technical developments are introduced into the process, as well as business orientation towards the most popular areas of training.
