Features of contemporary mutual beneficial cooperation of Russia with APEC countries: case study of Thailand

The history of bilateral relations between Russia and Thailand has been lasting for more than 115 years, and during all the period of cooperation between the two countries there were no conflicts and political differences. The anti-Russian sanctions from the Western countries did not affect the relations of Thailand and Russia. Thailand is important for Russia in many aspects including the partnership in APEC, where Thailand also supports many Russian initiatives and shares the Russian interests in the Asia-Pacific Region. However, the recent political events in Thailand actually weaken one of the most promising economic and political partners of Russia in the region of Southeast Asia.
