Specificity of scientific text translation strategy

In the article traditional and contemporary approaches to the concept of the scientific text translation strategy are analyzed. The scientific text translation strategy is regarded as special activity aimed at identification, comprehension and transference of the typological dominant of the source scientific text. Special attention is paid to objective and subjective factors, which determine the use of the strategy in scientific text translation.
