The purpose of our research is to study the morphology of the adrenal medulla of Dagestan mountain breed sheep in the newborn period. The results have shown that the adrenal gland of newborn sheep has the structure of a formed organ and consists of cortical and cerebral matter. The main cell mass in the parenchyma of the adrenal medulla isformed by chromaffincytes consisting of adrenalcytes and noradrenalcytes. Adrenalcytesare distinguished by a darker cytoplasm and are located mainly closer to the reticular zone, while the cytoplasm of noradrenalcytes is colored in lighter tones and occupies areas near the central vein. The number of adrenalcytes in the field of view is 64.3±0.4 cellson average, while the number of noradrenalcytesis slightly fewer, representing an average of 54.14±1.36 cells.
