The article substantiates the urgency of use in the economic and political spheresof this item of marketing communications as PR. The marketing approach to PR is particularly clearly visible in such business areas as Economics and Politics - that is, where there is a competition. In conditions of modern market economy the special attention is paid to the management of consumer and electoral behavior. The article considers the directions of PR activities in commercial business, analyzed the market of PR-services in Russia, the functions of public relations in government, as well as the Internet communications complex of PR-services in government.
