Specifics of topographic mapping for cadets of military institutes of Russian national guard forces

Actual aspects of topographic training of cadets of military institutes are considered. The content of the term “topographic preparation” is disclosed. Based on the analysis of the content of federal state educational standards, basic educational programs, as well as data obtained during interviews, surveys, questionnaires, and control and verification exercises, the problems of topographic training of cadets of military institutes were identified. To solve them, the structure and content of the course of topographic training of cadets of military institutes are proposed. Didactic support was used as the main means of implementing the courses with the purposeful and active use of information technologies and geographic information systems.
