The specific features of traditional relations in the Muslim family: Islam and society

The researching work deals with the preservation of traditions and values of Islam in the modern Muslim fa-mily. The author touches upon the tendencies of family changes and the peculiarities that are demonstrated in family relations. Difficulties in preservation of traditional family values are designated: breaking of value orientations, gradual decomposition and destruction of basic concepts, the settled moral principles, ethical norms and ideals, especially in family and marriage relations. The central role of the family as the main unit of society and the most important institution of socialization of the individual in preserving traditional values is emphasized. It is noted that the only tool to resist the disintegration and degradation in society is morality. The work presents the key ideas for Islam to normalize family relations, which have a Divine origin and transmitted to humanity for proper development.
