Features of the interpreter's participation in the criminal Russian judiciary

This paper describes the key features of the participation of an interpreter in criminal proceedings, which have been identified by modern Russian researchers, as well as with which translators encounter in the course of their practical translation activities in criminal proceedings. The article discusses the organizational and procedural problems of the participation of a translator in criminal proceedings, the problems of certifying the competence of the translator, possible unintentional translation errors during criminal proceedings.
