Features of use and functioning of lexema "joy" in Russian texts

This article explores the meaning of the word "joy". The work is carried out with the help of online resources "Slovari.ru", "National Corpus of the Russian language" (NСRL) (search for the General Building, separately for the Poetic Corps). It is concluded, from the results of the work, what the meaning of the chosen word did not change significantly from its earliest use (1682-1709) and to its use in the modern Russian language. The greatest interest is the use of the word "joy" address or complicated by ironic connotations.
