The article discusses the essential-substantial characteristic of vertically integrated companies of oil industry, including key benefits and preconditions of creation in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of foreign experience of functioning and management of such business entities, the author systematizes the key specific features peculiar for Russian vertically integrated oil companies.
