The features of foreign trade activities of Russia and its regions under conditions of the aggravating geopolitical situation

The processes of a decrease in the rate of development and recession of the world and national economies during crisis periods and under the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic are considered. The study identifies the challenges, factors, and world events that cause the emergence of processes of the geopolitical situation aggravation at present, the consequence of which is a sharp complication of international relations. The place of Russia in the world export and import of goods and services in recent years is shown. The influence of global challenges on the foreign trade activities of the Russian Federation and its constituent entities is established. The features of Russian foreign trade implementation in this geopolitical situation and significant changes in its dynamics, geography, and structure, occurring over the past few years, are analyzed. Several measures and recommendations are proposed on possible ways of developing the foreign trade activities of the Russian Federation and its constituent entities in the face of current geopolitical challenges.
