Peculiarities of perception of the “alien space” in sea voyage of D. V. Grigorovich

The article is devoted to Grigorovich’s travel notes “Ship Retvizan”. In the description, it is possible to identify significant and secondary cities. The description of the “alien space” of secondary cities is limited to the designation of fragmentary details. A special place in the narrative is occupied by Paris and Cadiz, whose image is constructed on several levels.
