The article discusses the features of academic training of intended psychologists as well as the possibility of establishing patterns and psychological approaches to quality improvement of professional training of intended specialists. There are uncovered the following two main directions of improving issue of professional training of students-psychologists: the general professional and the specialized. A number of the personality integral characteristics, aimed at ensuring the personality becoming of an intended specialist are identified in the article.
