The article is devoted to the optimization of the surgical treatment of chronic pancreatitis, taking into account the variants of the blood supply to the pancreatic head. At the morphological stage of the study, extraorgan arteries of the pancreas and duodenum were studied using the method of preparation of 42 complexes of organs in the upper abdominal cavity. In the course of a retro- and prospective study, a comparative evaluation of the results of surgical treatment was carried out, taking into account the anatomical features of the blood supply to the pancreas. It has been established that the anterior pancreatoduodenal arterial arch has several location options with respect to the pancreatoduodenal complex. The combination of preliminary ligation of the elements of the anterior pancreatoduodenal arterial arch with more radical excision of the scar-modified pancreatic parenchyma, allows optimizing the surgical treatment of chronic pancreatitis.
