Peculiarities of higher mental functions in rural younger schoolchildren

The influence of place of residence on the development of higher psychological functions of younger schoolchildren is considered. It has been revealed urban younger schoolchildren are more advanced than rural schoolchildren of the same age in terms offorming ofprogramming functions, control and serial organization of motions and in the level of verbal functions formation. The rural schoolchildren are characterized by a more formed visual gnosis and a larger amount of visual spatial memory.
