Peculiarities of interaction of Marxism and Confucianism in the context of development of modern Chinese society

The article considers the ontological, epistemological and socio-philosophical aspects of Marxist philosophy within the context of interaction with Confucianism. The main ideology in China is Marxism, the Communist Party is pursuing a policy of "sinifi-cation of Marxism". Such an ideology gives a chance for the revival of Confucianism, the ancient tradition and culture of the Chinese people. Since ancient times, Confucianism played a major role in the life of Chinese society, but with the Chinese revolution, Marxism had taken a leading position. We turn to finding common philosophical principles for Confucianism and Marxism. Despite the differences in the philosophical systems under consideration, we have identified a number of common features. The conclusion is made about the interaction and interrelation of the worldview principles of Confucianism and Marxism on the basis of finding certain points of contact.
