Features of fatty acid composition of extracts from some medicinal plants of the Baikal region

Quantitative and qualitative analysis of fatty acids from medicinal plants was conducted by gas chromatography. 22 acids were identified. Palmitoic, palmitooleic, ω-3 and ω-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids were the basic among them. Extracts of Rosa dahurica Pall, Scutellaria baicalensis and Penthaphylloides fruticosa were rich in its content by polyunsaturated acids. It determines potential biological significance.
