The problem of immigration processes of foreigners in the Russia in the late XIX – early XX centuries in the specific example of a Dutch patrial – Jean Jozef Claisse – and his family is considered in the article. It analyzes their socio-economic situation in a typical Russian province – Kursk province – and especially his inclusion into Russian society
