"Osovechivanie" of religious celebrations in 192g-ies

The Article is devoted to the problem of displacement of religious holidays and processes of origin of the new Soviet holiday culture in the territory of our country, and, in particular, in the Buryat-Mongolian Republic. On materials of the local periodical press the author shows the nation-wide, centralized nature of new ceremonialism and concludes that it was an important element of Soviet propaganda, a conductor of new values and morality. Despite the difficult way of introducing public holidays, during the period under review they are widely included in the everyday being and way of life of the population.
