The author examines the process of challenging the debtor’s transactions in bankruptcy proceedings. Provides statistics on the consideration of applications for recognition of transactions as invalid, analyzes the main categories of transactions that can be challenged. Gives a definition of the concept of «standard of proof» and a description of its varieties. He comes to the conclusion that challenging the debtor’s transactions is an effective method of replenishing his property mass in the bankruptcy procedure of both legal entities and individuals, however, for a positive outcome of such a challenge, it is necessary to take into account many factors and nuances established by the legislator and courts.
