Osteosynthesis for microvascular operations in hand surgery

The work deals with the experience of treatment of 84 patients subjected to microvascular operations for severe hand injuries including complete and partial traumatic avulsions of the hand segments. Wires, wires with external fixators, shape-memory implants were used for osteosynthesis. The greatest percentage of functional recovery of the hand and its segments was achieved when the external fixators and shape-memory implants were used.
