The article presents the results of the retrospective analysis of 34 medical histories of children with acute kidney injury (AKI) aged between 1 month to 16 years. They were on inpatient treatment in GBUZ RM "Children's Republican clinical hospital" from 2000 to 2018. There were 16 boys and 18 girls. It was found that in most cases AKI was diagnosed in children of the first three years of life (85.3% of cases, including 26.5% of children under 1 year of age) . The main cause of AKI (67.6% of cases) during the analyzed period was hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). Acute kidney injury against HUS was noted in more than half of children (66.7%) of the first year of life and in 75% of cases in patients aged 1 -3 years. Toxic effect of drugs was the cause of AKI among 12-14 years old patients.
