The author focuses on the process of reformatting social and potestarny structures of Siberian aborigines and their adaptation to the Russian state institutes and socio-political practices by the Russian power at the end of the XVI – XVII century. It is demonstrated that in this process the description of Siberian socio-political space in the structure of the Moscow state by the Russians played a very important role. They depicted it through socionyms which were clearly understandable to them and by means of which they classified and hierarchized social groups of the Siberian people, including elite.
