The article analyzes the discrepancy between the level of digital technology adoption in Russian companies and their actual contribution to economic growth. The study is based on the Solow model and the Cobb-Douglas production function, which are used to provide a theoretical explanation for the observed phenomenon. Based on statistical data from Rosstat for 2022-2024, the article provides a detailed analysis of the structure of digitalization costs and the prevalence of various technological solutions in organizations. It is empirically proven that the dominance of operating expenses and limited adoption of advanced technologies hinder the growth of total factor productivity. In conclusion, the article theoretically justifies the feasibility of transitioning from digital optimization to comprehensive transformation of business models through strategic investments in digital capital.
