The feature film "To Live" by Yuri Bykov is about moral choice, decision about faith in oneself, in person, in God. The chance brings together two fugitives on the way, who are trying to escape from their pursuers. Destiny, character, status - all of these bring them apart. What combines them is just the road and the desire to survive. The history of twins -antagonists turns their lives upside down, making them change their places. The concept of "living by conscience" becomes the positive character's unattainable summit.
