The article considers personnel selection as an important managerial problem. The essence of the concept of "selection" of personnel is specified, traditional and non-traditional methods of selection are designated. The characteristics of the stages of personnel selection in the technological chain are given. The role of an integrated approach in the personnel selection procedure for vacant positions is noted. The relationship between the qualitative approach to the candidate selection procedure and the results of the functioning of the organization is determined.
