The article is based on an archival document of the planning and reporting documentation of the Schmidt Institute of Earth Physics of the Academy of sciences of the USSR. The report of the Soviet delegation on the visit to Iran in 1973 within the framework of the Soviet-Iranian agreement of 1971 is a valuable historical source of the Archives of Russian Academy of sciences.
