The article presents the longterm results of the clinical study of 133 patients with the knee extensor injuries. Main group included 30 patients treated by tendinoplasty with the use of TiNi mesh implants. Control group 1 included 65 patients who underwent patellar tendon reinsertion with silk suture. Control group 2 included 38 patients whose surgery was performed with patellar tendon suture. The lower extremity function and quality of life in all patients were evaluated 12 months after surgery. Results of the follow up examinations revealed a significant improvement in the lower extremity function and the quality of life in patients who received TiNi mesh implants.
