Long-term results of radical and palliative surgery of patients with locally advanced gastric cancer

223 patients with locally advanced gastric cancer were operated during the period from 2000 to 2005 years. The overall 5-year survival rate was 17,9±2,6%, median survival - 12 months. Categories of patients who had no improved long-term results of treatment after radical surgery were identified. The patients had better survival results after palliative surgery versus symptomatic interventions.
