Individual issues of ensuring personal safety when crossing water bodies in the conditions of a tourist hike

In the article, the author draws attention to the peculiarities of the organization of certain types of crossings over water obstacles that arise along the route of the group along the tourist route, gives the sequence of actions of tourists when crossing rivers by ford, by natural and by mounted crossing, considers the procedure for the use of safety equipment. The crossing is organized taking into account the number, physical and psychological condition of tourists. It should be remembered that the safe overcoming of water barriers is possible only if the members of the group have certain knowledge, skills, and requires prior planning and careful preparation. However, water barriers for a number of reasons may be insurmountable, in view of which, in order to ensure personal safety, it is necessary to abandon the movement along the previously planned route.
