Some issues of portrait examination in the framework of forensic research

The relevance of the issue is due to the significant difficulties associated with the implementation of portrait examination in a constantly expanding range of objects for research. The article deals with portrait examination in the framework of solving the problems of forensic research. The existing problems of this type of expertise are formulated and the ways of their solution are proposed. It is concluded that it is necessary to improve the methodological framework that serves as the basis for such examinations.
