Selected issues of criminal legal protection of intellectual property rights

The article discusses current issues of criminal law protection of intellectual property in the Russian Federation. Current criminal legislation, the practice of its application, as well as theoretical work in the field of criminal law are analyzed in order to identify potential areas for improving the regulatory framework. Particular attention is paid to the need to take into account the specifics of intellectual assets, including the protection of trade secrets and industrial secrets, when developing mechanisms of criminal defense.
