The article considers the talent management of an organization as an HR technology that focuses on the identification of talents and the development of their potential capabilities as a factor in improving the competitiveness of personnel. The specifics of talent management within the framework of the personnel reserve formation system are investigated. The «traditional» and «modern» ways of forming a personnel reserve at the enterprise, methods and technologies of personnel training with these approaches are described and compared. The definition of the concept of «talent» is given, as well as the author's classification of the stages of working with the personnel reserve with a «modern» approach (an approach from the point of view of talent management) when creating a personnel reserve in an organization.
