Distinctive features of criminal procedure codes of Russia and Belarus

Materials and Methods: the methodological basis of the research consists of methods of synthesis, scientific cognition, logical, comparative-legal, as well as other private methods of studying legal phenomena. Results: the article analyzes the distinctive features of the criminal procedure codes of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, justifies the advantages of certain aspects of legal regulation and the practice of their application. Discussion and Conclusions: based on the conducted research, it is concluded that the criminal procedure codes of the two countries, on the one hand, have a lot in common, on the other-each law has different provisions that fix the norms specific to a particular country, which are of scientific interest and can be reflected in national legislation in the future.
