Youth’s attitudes to the problem of domestic violence

In the article young people’s attitude towards violence and its manifestations in family analyzed. To identify youth's attitudes to the problem of domestic violence we carried out the sociological study in form of questionnaire. The main objective of the study was to examine the problem of domestic violence, primarily punishment, and youth’s attitudes towards it. Punishment serves as a way to stop willful misconduct of a child and to prevent it in future. The respondents' answers indicated that in childhood they had experience of physical and psychological violence in their families. The majority of respondents had negative attitude to the problem of domestic violence, they offered to defend against its manifestations. The study confirmed the need to address this problem to the whole society.
