The relationship of myth and literature

In this article the relationship between myth and literature is examined in the framework of the theory of literature and the comparative literary criticism, with reference to the views of scientists engaged in the study of the literary myth. The appearance of mythological elements in a literary work is placed in theoretical contexts, in which the myth is interpreted as the restoration of reality or as a field of dynamic signaling and rethinking of ideas.
