The relationship of the west and the east: the prospects of cultural cooperation

The general trend of our times the author believes displacement to the periphery of the future cultural and civilizational space logocentric discourses and their speakers. This general trend is seen as the resultant of integrative and disintegrative processes, which oppose, generally speaking, throughout social history. In today's world of universal trends of integration and disintegration is represented by paradigms of globalization and postmodernity. At the same time the author notes that the humanity as a single entity does not exist therefore inadequacy of understanding of Another, insolvency of forecasts, an impracticability of the large-scale social and political programs focused on a certain average human standard appears a payment for wide generalizations and rhetorical conveniences of reasonings. The author emphasizes that the modern situation in the world is characterized by a diffuse interpenetration of cultural and civilizational systems, which blurs not only the traditional geopolitical frontiers, but also the familiar discourse of consideration of ethno-cultural and civilizational differences on a line East - West.
