This paper deals with the approach to the electronic 3D-models most informative achieving on the construction engineering stage. This approach is information about the designed product functional structure representation in the 3D-model creation tree. This approach is based on a bijection between the 3D-model creation tree and the functional elements set. These functional elements make up the designed product structure and carry a fixed and strictly specified meaning in the product subject area.
