Presentation of the English syntax in the textbooks of the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 21st century

The article studies the grammatical norm of the English syntax at the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 21 st century. The grammatical norm is shown as presented in the textbooks of the periods under discussion. Differences in general presentation of the English syntax, presentation of certain syntactic phenomena, terminology and description of syntactic means are revealed.
