Бесплатный доступ

Classical mythological beliefs are represented in English folk tale discourse in the system of characters, attributes, motifs and plots based upon them. In folk tale discourse they fulfill a wide range of functions: they form culturological and linguistic commentaries; indicate isomorphism of corresponding elements in Classical and English mythological systems; serve as a means of indirect characterization of folk tale personages. Transplantation of Classical mythological personages into folk tale narration is accompanied by assimilation of their images according to English mythological and folklore traditions.
