Reflection of national character in the phraseological picture of the world (on the material of French, Russian and Kabardian-Circassian languages)

The article analyzes the specificity of verbalization of the national character by means of phraseology, identifies the features of the relationship between the national mentality, culture and language; phraseological picture of the world is seen as the result of cognitive perception of the reflected reality. Phraseological units store and re-create feelings, emotions, sensations, evaluations, moods. The most vivid fragment of a phraseological pattern is the concept of «person» which includes many other fragments, among them his personal point of view. The study of the human factor in language is closely connected with the study of the language picture of the world, which reflects the influence on the perception and reflection of reality. One of the problems of understanding the human world is a reflection of its culture, without knowing where it is impossible to understand the characteristic of a people's world-view. Phraseology is an important level of the language system, most clearly reflects the worldview, habits, lifestyle, behavior. In phraseological units is accumulated and transmitted from generation to generation the ethno-cultural specificity of norms, mentality of ethnos. Semantic and linguoculturological analysis of phraseological units of the French, Russian and Kabardian-Circassian languages, denoting traits of the person, have demonstrated that this layer is an integral part of the unique phraseology of the French, Russian and Kabardian-Circassian ethnic groups, on the one hand, and one fragment of the common phraseological picture of the world of peoples living on different territories.
