Since the first issues of the “Russian Musical Newspaper” in 1904, attention has been drawn to publications or news feeds, the content of which emphasizes the correlation of this or that event in the field of Church singing art with the sociopolitical context of that period. Dedications “in favor of the Red Cross”, for “strengthening the navy”, “in favor of the wounded in the Far East”, etc. testify to active involvement of society, including Church communities, in well-known events of the 1904 Russian- Japanese War. Such initiatives of the Church structures representatives, by the example of Church music culture, only testify to close correlation of Church and public interests of the pre-revolutionary period.
